Partial Denture

A removable partial denture is done when teeth are missing from various parts of the mouth and a bridge will not stay.
Partial dentures can be made with metal or without metal, for a more natural look.
The process of making a partial takes about 2 visits. On your first visit, the doctor will make sure all of your teeth are stable and have no cavities. On this same visit, if your teeth and gums are healthy, Dr. Wright will take an impression of your teeth on both the top and the bottom. Your next visit involves the try-in of your partial. At this appointment, you and Dr. Wright have the chance to make any changes to the color and fit of the partial. Your final visit will involve the delivery of your new partial denture. After this visit, you can expect to return for a few more visits for adjustments. Because you have an added device in your mouth, it will take you some time to get used to the partials in your mouth and it may require adjustment visits to make your bite feel as close to normal as it used to feel.
